We seek a skilled and experienced Typesetter to join our dynamic team at Consultus Publishing Services (CPS).

Position: Typesetter (FULL TIME, In-house)
Location: Harare, Zimbabwe

Key Responsibilities:

Layout and design of textbook pages using Adobe InDesign.
Ensure all typeset materials meet the quality and style standards of the publishing house.
Work closely with the editorial team to incorporate text and graphics into publishable formats.
Adjust and refine typography, column width, spacing, and text flow to optimize readability.
Proofread and correct typeset documents for errors before final printing.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of work experience in typesetting, specifically in the educational publishing industry.
Proficient in Adobe InDesign, with a strong portfolio demonstrating speed and quality in layout and design.
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for visual composition and typography.
Knowledge of XML is an advantage, enabling more efficient workflow and data handling
